LIGHT of the world

" YOU are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
on myprojectimpact.com you can feed a child from Africa once a day for only $5 a month!! for five dollars you could give up going out to eat for one meal and support a child and feed them everyday for a month!!
Be used to change the world, here is your chance.

Choose to serve and not be served

Living in America we often forget about how blessed and fortunate we are! We have everything we need. Things  from clean water, food, and great health care. Its easy for us to forget about people in developing countries who are struggling each day to just survive. Countries where malnutrition is a huge problem and the lack of clean water- which makes disease play a huge part. If you know anything about Africa and other developing countries  you know that HIV/AIDS is an increasing epidemic. More than 25 million people have died from this and over 33 million currently living with this disease. That doesn't even show the millions of children who are now orphans because this disease has taken both their parents lives.  Other countries such as India has 5 million people living with this disease and almost 50% of Thailands population is living with it too. In those countries people are lucky to live for their 35th birthday. it is NECESSARY for us as Christians to reach those countries with the gospel before it is too late. Africa is full of pain and suffering and my passion is to reach those people to heal their broken hearts and to restore their hope. Northern Africa, turkey, Saudia Arabia, India, China, Vietnam are all parts of the 10/40 window- which means they are the most UNREACHED people groups in the world. With millions and millions never ever hearing the name of Christ.

Some lyrics " God of Justice"
Saviour to all came to rescue the weak and the poor. Chose to serve and not be served. Jesus, you have called us- Freely we've received so now freely we will give. We must go to live to feed the hungry and stand beside the broken. Stepping forward- move us from just singing but move us into action. We must go. To act justly everyday, loving mercy in every way. Walking humble before you God. Fill us up and send us out.

Some scripture that have been on my heart:
Luke 10:2- " The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest. therefore to send his workers into the harvest field. Go!
Isaiah 49:6- " It is too small of a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the Earth.
MY FAVORITE: Revelation 7:9- There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language standing before the throne in front of the Lamb declaring " Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on his throne, and to the Lamb."

If you cant "Go" There is something that you are still called to do for them. Pray for them- all the nations, the people who dont know Christ, people who are suffering.
Also, Help others go to them. And pray for the missionaries who are there and who will be there.
Encourage you to check out 1040window.org on what can we do. There is so much to do!

Jesus- oh yea, JESUS!

Havent written in forever- and someone in particular keeps bugging me at it so HERE IT IS! :)
So classes, getting things ready to apply to nursing school, and trying to figure out what God wants for my future has been so stressful! I hate not knowing where and what  I will be doing next year and that's all Ive been able to think about. I'm to the point of figuring out that my plans are probably not what Gods plans are. During one of the most stressful days dealing with this mess (ha) I went to paradigm and I had just prayed before that God will just put my heart at peace with whatever he has planned for me and for him to teach me something tonight. So I get there and the first song we sang went like this , " My heart is as peace with your presence alone, Lord you know where you are leading me." The song was just about letting God take you by the hand and let him lead you to where he wants you to be and that HIS plans are so much awesomer ( lol) than mine. I just felt a sense of calmness that I hadn't felt in a long time. Another song that I have just LOVED during this time is Sidewalk Prophets. " Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. You are going to do great things. God's got his hand on you so do not live life in fear. Come find peace in the Father, dont forget why you are here." AHH its so good. I love how when you finally decide to give it up to God and allow yourself to follow in His footsteps and allow God to be God, of what He does! I don't know why it is so hard for me to follow the King of the Universe's plans when I know His plans are whats best for me and that wherever he leads me He will do great things! So awesome to know that I dont have to make those huge and tough decisions by myself, the One that knows me better than I know my self will put me EXACTLY where he wants me to be and doing what I need to be doing.
The SAFEST place to be is right in the CENTER of God's will- WHEREVER that is :)

Day of Joy

My beautiful niece Callyn Joy Thomas was born October 14 at 1:24 pm. She was 7 pounds exactly and 18 inches, had the chubbiest cheeks and LOTS of hair!
Wow, I just cant believe she is here. This is one of the best feelings I have ever had. As soon as I saw her the first time, my breath was just taken away. She was so beautiful. God has already taught me so much because of this little one! With everything that happened last time with Tatum Cate, our hearts were left broken and hurt. Still then, I knew that God had a plan and man did he! With Tatum's death, God has MOVED huge in my families life. He told us it was going to be ok and it was. I love looking back and seeing how much Paiges and Jarods walk with Christ has strengthened and how much God has used them to help other people who have gone through the same thing as them, and it simply amazes me. And for me, God just showed me how much I needed Him. When you go through times of pain, you look for something to comfort you- and for me it was Christ and He showed me just how much He loved me and showed me that through this, I will learn perseverence.  Now when I see Callyn Joy, God just reminds me of how faithful He is! Each time I see her I just get reminded of How huge and powerful God is, and how he created and allows us to love on something like this. I just cannot be thankful enough :).

" Those who sow in tears, will REAP with songs of joy." Psalms 126:5
